J-Hope of BTS and Becky G release Chicken Noodle Soup

After months of hints and teasers that there may indeed be a collab on the horizon, BTS’ J-Hope and multi-award-winning Latin-American singer Becky G have finally announced their much speculated, and highly anticipated collaboration ‘Chicken Noodle Soup.’

Sampling the 2007 hit by Webstar and Young B, J-Hope and Becky G use their revamped track to discuss their love of their homes and their passion for their art. The BTS star cited the track as an early inspiration for him when he first began to learn dancing and bonded with Becky G over their love of this track and paid homage to their own homes through the Korean and Spanish lyrics.

The music video shot and directed by Lumpens in Los Angeles displays an incredibly diverse cast of 50 dancers and is very much a choreography based music video. The performance is a reinterpretation of the original song’s choreography that features dynamic movements and the wing-flapping motions of a chicken, making it a dance that is modern yet easy to follow.

J-Hope has showcased his phenomenal and impeccable musical identity in his first mixtape Hope World, which was released in March 2018 and topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 63 regions, with Hope World ranking at No.38 on the Billboard 200 chart. In addition to this, he has also consistently participated in the writing and producing of BTS’ hits such as MIC- DROP, Boy With Luv ft Halsey and his own solo track MAMA taken from their ground-breaking album WINGS.

Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)’ was produced by long term BTS collaborative producers 

 Supreme Boi, Pdogg and Jinbo.Mixing was overseen by Jaycen Joshua, partner to artists such as Camila Cabello and Beyoncé with mastering by the skilled hands of Chris Gehringer, who has worked with top artists such as Rihanna, Madonna, and The Chainsmokers.
